Prefab pools in Kifisia
Kifisia has some of the largest gardens in Athens, with centuries-old trees and a cooler climate than the city centre. We built a skimmer pool there in 2016.
In gardens like these, the challenge is to find a spot with enough sun without cutting down any trees.
What we watch for in Kifisia
- Roots of large trees: before excavating, we locate the roots, so the pool does not harm the trees and the roots do not press on the structure.
- Afternoon sun: because Kifisia is cooler, a spot that gets afternoon sun makes a big difference to the water temperature.
- Matching the garden: SOPREMAPOOL 3D membranes, with the texture of natural materials, blend well with classic gardens and stone paving.

The prefab pool we build
2 mm galvanized steel panels, 1.10 or 1.50 m high, hot-dip galvanized support buttresses and a PVC liner with a 10-year written warranty. Available as a skimmer or overflow pool, and up to 50 m² with a small-scale works approval instead of a building permit. See the sizes.

Questions
Can a pool be built without cutting down trees?
Most of the time, yes. A prefab pool needs no room for formwork or large machinery, so it can fit in between the trees. The exact spot is decided at the site survey.
