Prefab pools in Dionysos, Drosia and Ekali
Dionysos, Drosia and Ekali lie in the foothills of Mount Penteli, higher up than the Athens basin. They have large plots with pine trees and colder winters.
We built a prefab pool in Dionysos in 2015.
What we watch for in Dionysos, Drosia and Ekali
- Frost: in winter the temperature often drops below zero. The pipes are drained and the plant room is protected before the first frost.
- Slopes: on sloping plots the pool goes on a levelled terrace or rises up to 1 m above the ground, for less excavation.
- A shorter season: because of the altitude, the water is slow to warm up in spring. A cover wins you a few extra weeks of swimming.

The prefab pool we build
2 mm galvanized steel panels, 1.10 or 1.50 m high, hot-dip galvanized support buttresses and a PVC liner with a 10-year written warranty. Available as a skimmer or overflow pool, and up to 50 m² with a small-scale works approval instead of a building permit. See the sizes.

Questions
Does a pool in Dionysos need heating?
It is not essential. With a sunny position and a cover at night, the season gets noticeably longer. If you want an even longer season, we discuss the options at the site survey.
