Prefab pools in Drama
Drama has a continental climate, with hot summers and harsh winters with snow and frost. A pool here keeps you cool in July and August, but it also has to get through January without damage.
A prefab pool with a liner copes with temperature swings, as long as it is properly prepared for winter.
What we watch for in Drama
- Frost and pipes: before winter we drain the pipes and the filter so they do not burst in the frost.
- Ice on the surface: a winter cover and floats that absorb the pressure of the ice protect the walls.
- A short season: the pool goes in the sunniest part of the garden, away from the shade of buildings.
Transport and construction
Materials are transported by road from Athens via the Egnatia Odos motorway.
